BIG UPSETS IN RELAY & 500 METERS NO JOEY MANTIA

At World champs we have come to expect the Mantia Show on the last road Day, where opposition were shot to pieces & Mantia’s show last year on the road relay was simply awsome, as he tore through the field & even made Colombian Hero Andres Munoz look like a recreation skater.

WHEELS BEEN ONE OF THE BIG FACTORS FOR THE TOP MEN

Today in the dry after he slipped Mantia showed dis-contentment as he threw his skates over his shoulder on the ground behind him, an unusual gesture from the Superstar. For the last several years Matter wheels have had a dream run, ever since the demise of Hyper who had dominated the previous dedade.

As Dugento at the European champs several years ago told the Italian team he would not skate the 300T/T track if he had to wear the sponsors Hyper wheels. He changed to Matter & got the victory.

Now several years later the boot is on the other foot & the Matter wheels have been found wanting, along with Bont & Atom manufactured by the same company, have not feared much better  in Guarne & in the wet, there has only been one Choice MPC.

NEW ZEALAND XTECH SKATER PETER MICHAEL, BIG CHANCE IN RELAY FINAL

With the USA star Joey Mantia on the sideline, missing out on both the 500 meters & relay finals, with some very Questionable decisions, also facing the USA management, over race & non race lineups. The door is open.

One of the beneficaries is New Zealand, who have had a bad championship to date,  now find themselves with the opportunity to get back on track, after a bad champs by there standard.  But they have kept hanging in & focusing for a change of fortunes & a Gutsey effort by Scott Arlidge grabbed a Bronze last night in a last ditch effort, in the 10,000 pts.  Now they find Veteran Kalon Dobbin in with a big chance in the 500 meters & XTECH Star Peter Michael along with Scott Arlidge, Reyon Kay, who qualified, 0r possibly Dobbin could come in for the finals, with big chance in the relay.
