Timaru the place to be 2012

Hi Skaters,

The ” Tour of Timaru ” tentative dates around 8th to 12th January 2012.

Check out WHEELZ Shop Facebook Blogspot for 2011 racing

Overseas skaters with a clearance from there federations are welcome to compete in the N.Z. Road & Indoor 100 meter track champs 31st December to 5th January in Christchurch, as we welcome International competition, this year we had Daniela Rosales from Mexico, & two young German exchange students Salome Bader & Michael Emele compete. we race under 9 Primary, under 12 Juvinile, under 15 Junior,
under 17 Intermediate, Seniors & masters over 35 years. But need to get in touch with the N.Z. federation early, if they intend competing in the National Championships.

In 2012 will be a unique opportunity as the Christchurch International airport is the nearest International Airport access for Timaru, only 160 km south. So in & out the same Airport

So a great opportunity for you cold northern hemisphere skaters to get down this end of the world for good racing , good hospitality & good Tourism.

Also we will not clash with the Australian speed champs which are listed for 15th to 22nd January & hopefully Australians will be able to compete.

It is proposed that the ” Tour of Timaru ” next year will take in some some Tourist area’s for some stages, with Tekapo & Twizel region likely.
