Old World 12 hour record smashed

Brent McCormack wound back the clock last week at the Ruapuna raceway on the outskirts of Christchurch.
On Quad skates Brett bettered the 12 hour record formally held by USA long distance Legend ( Jonathan Suetter / Jonathan Sootter ) by 15 km ti increase the old record of 235 km to stretching it out to 250 km, which was accomplished in 11 hrs 51 mins, the darkness making it far to dangerous at the end.

Brent found it tough going first off with rain the first 3 hours, but he managed to go 10 km ahead of Schedule in the early hours, after 4 hours he had on dry boots & the task was not so difficult, but at the 10 hour mark, he had to have a serious talk to himself as he went through a bad patch.

Rumour has it that any Aussies comming over for the “Tour of Timaru” on Quads, may get a wee spanking.
